Domestic Medium Hair - Simon Sez - Large - Adult - Male - Cat
A beautiful black and white princess had been roaming the SE side with her kids in tow for almost her entire life. Having been TNR'd after giving birth over 3 years ago (she was born in March of 2008 we think) by the kindhearted family who looked after her, thankfully she was not able to produce more offspring. And luckily she was able to keep tabs on her three sons (who were born in March of 2010) and provide for them with the help and shelter provided for them by the Rich family. However, when they decided they were going to be moving later in 2013, they made work of contacting us and making plans to get the kitties all into our program. So on March 21st and 22nd, the furry foursome was brought to me at the vet clinic in pairs, as these cats are the epitome of 'peas-in-a-pod' and we didn't want any chance of one of them running off for good if alone. Although Mama was the least easy to convenience to be rescued, once in a carrier with her son Simon she relaxed and hunkered down for the ride.
Once at the clinic, she and shy-guy Simon proved to be the most difficult to get to warm up to me, but over the course of the next few weeks, once settled in at the shelter, she came around and became very accepting of affection and attention. Non-identical twins Sam and Milo were immediately more open to receiving TLC, although on their first night at the vet's office, our clinic cat Tweet decided to break them all out of the ward they were staying in. I spent 45 minutes searching high and low for the band of brothers, and Tweet was absolutely NO help in recovering them:)
Now that they are official Crash Cats, the kitty quad is thoroughly enjoying all of the creature comforts we have to offer, from cozy cubbies to a wait staff of close to 200 volunteers who are their to indulge in their every whim and dote on them endlessly. It will take a very patient person though to consider adopting Bahama-Mama or Simon Sez though, as these two need a gentle hand, minimal expectations and time to blossom. And we feel it is in their best interest to be adopted out together, so they come as a dynamic duo, as do Sam Adam and Milo Otis. After all, family is fur-ever!
Milo and Sam are mild and mellow, stunning short haired tuxedo-types, whereas their other brother from the same mother resembles her more in coat length and timidness, and is a tabby and white with flowing locks and stunning good looks. And all are healthy and happy, finally indoors safe and sound , surrounded by the love of each other and us crazy yet committed cat people:)
