Weimaraner - Chai (with With Son Charoo) - Large - Senior
We are a family!! This mother/son pair just wants love, and hope for a forever home together! They came to GLWR due to their owner having serious health issues. They currently live with their foster mom, 3 little girls, and 2 Weims. It's a whole bunch of fun, but they aren't really too sure about the cats that are outside. They both have a high pray drive and really like to bark at the cats and try to chase them. We have been working on this but its a work in progress! Chai is the mom. She is a beautiful silver 9-year-old girl. She likes to be top dog and treated like a princess. She follows her foster mom everywhere and steals a kiss every chance she gets. She is not too sure of storms but as long as she is beside you shes ok. Chai will recall back to you as long as you are talking to her while she is out. She has recently lost her long-time partner Harley Baloo, which has been hard on her. They had been together since puppies. About 8 years ago, Chai had puppies and they kept one male named Charoo. Charoo is almost 8-years-old and is a big blue boy. He is a large dog, but has a heart to match. His foster mom loves how he always lays his head on her lap, he stands for as long as he can and just looks at her, gazing lovingly into her eyes. He truly is a big baby and only wants love. This pair of Weims loves to be around people. Chai leads the round of barking when someone comes over and the Charoo will join in; but they quickly stop when asked to. Beds, both human and dog- sized, are their favorite places to lounge and doze. They get as close as they possibly can to each other and to people for the best snuggle ever! They love being taken for daily walks and are working very hard at being better leash walkers. For the most part they are; but every now and then something catches their eye, they want to bolt. As a rescue, we would really like to have the pair adopted by one family, but understand that this may be a tall order. If you are considering adopting them, remember that because they are older in age, they wont require quite as much exercise as a pup or younger Weim may require, but they still need to be walked daily. Theyve been together all of their lives and although theyve adapted quite well to being in the rescue and in their new foster home, we know that separating would be heartbreaking. We know that were looking for a very special adopter with a large and kind heart. Please let us know if you have room in your heart and home for this special pair.
